Today I was thinking of you

My hands got sweaty

And heart dropped heavy

The feeling of regret

From last summer’s affair

Emanating from my sad soul

Coming into your life

Like a whirlwind

Dancing ‘round town together

You seemed to truly adore

Just as our hearts

Were joining our eyes

I ripped the rug

From right under our play

Leaving you dizzy, alone

Cutting off connections

I love to build walls
